Dr. Guthrie has practiced dentistry in Lewisville since 1981 after receiving his D.D.S. degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.  His undergraduate studies were completed at Baylor University where he earned a B.S. degree in Biology in 1976.

Dr. Guthrie, his wife Amy, and their sons Chad and Trey  have lived in Lewisville and Highland Village since 1981.   Dr. Guthrie's hobbies include camping, fishing, boating and skiing among others.  Dr. Guthrie serves on the Board of the Greater Lewisville Youth and Family Counseling Agency and supports other area non-profit agencies.

Chad is a 2005 Marcus High School graduate and a senior at Baylor University in Waco.

Trey is a 2007 Marcus High School graduate and is attending Texas A&M University in Galveston.
